Project and content management

  • Developing, writing, editing, and maintaining an over 1000 page website, for 
20+ treatment teams, 400+ physicians, and multiple departments around the 
cancer centre
  • Managing junior content editor, freelance developers, medical writers, and vendors
  • Supervising budget spend for campaigns and web development up to £60k. Ensure these campaigns were delivered on time and within these budget constraints
  • Over 70 major projects completed in the post, including numerous projects using Agile processes

SEO and IA development

  • Commissioning SEO studies to review core content quality and effectiveness
  • Constructed plan for major website structural overhaul to increase SEO quality score and accessibility features for internal and external users
  • Presenting IA and online behavior research to senior leadership, in order to establish support for project launch

User experience initiatives

  • Devised WhenWeTalkAboutCancer.org, an all-inclusive online space, where both internal and external members of the centre’s community can exchange ideas and perspectives on key concepts around cancer care
  • Successfully addressed limitations in user deep engagement across our online channels, (e.g. over 60000 unique visitors in first year following launch as WhenWeTalkAboutCancer.org)
  • Directing analytics projects for multiple center SEM campaigns
  • Creation and tracking of Adwords conversion goals and targets
  • Ongoing supervision of analytics vendor in campaign maintenance

Web development

  • Employed custom HTML to construct new microsites for high priority business areas, including professional education and patient experience
  • Managing multiple freelance and part-time web developers
  • Daily use of various content management systems
  • Project managing the development of custom web tools, liaising between clients and interactive teams

Integrated elements of “Everyday Amazing” marketing campaign

  • Launched and developed content for center’s Twitter and YouTube channels,
  • Expanded centre’s Facebook page, quadrupling page likes to over 5000, by employing both promoted and content rich postings
  • Development of the community blog site was a central deliverable in centre’s national marketing campaign

  • Project managed strategy and marketing with other senior staff to further the growth and visibility of the site
